Soul Of India

                                             Mahatma Gandhi use to say that ' We have to start rebuilding India with development of Indian villages' . He was right in the sense that village economy is broken which has brought the poverty and misery for Indian people. The Ghost villages being created with flow of people still continuing from villages to Cities. It is because of lack of employment and opportunities for people in the villages.

                                            The India was very rich and prosperous before the several foreign invasions from Moguls to British.  All foreign invaders were attracted with the lots of wealth in India. Invaders tried to change the Indian culture but people  resisted and it was preserved and maintained. Indian villages played very  important role as villages were having their independent operating system. The big cities were effected by foreign rulers but villages were immune of those autocracy for long time.

                                        The village system were perfect and use to work independently i.e. not depending on out side agencies. Generally villages had it own Hindu Temple on the end of villages where evening people use to gather and use to prey. That is how religious culture was preserved. The maintenance of such temples were looked after by contribution of villager as per requirements. 

                                       All sort of professionals use be kept in village in order to fulfilled its requirements. There was Kumbhar who use to make all sorts of clay things i.e. Matkas, Tawdi, and other  clay Utensils. He use to supply those things  to the villagers and in return they use to get food, vegetables, all their requirements. There were people who use to play musical instrument on various religious occasions. Their requirements were also use to be met by villager in return. There were Barbers who use save without charges but in return they use to get all family requirement from people including food. There was a system if one work for someone for few days in return they are supposed to work for that person same days. This shows that village economy was based on value and  Barter system.

                           There was system wherein the disputes and other  controversial matters were use to be settled by arbitration of elders in   the villages. Hence everything was based on collective efforts and cooperation of villagers. The system was based on values rather then materialism. The villages had their own art which  was vanished with time on account  economical changes. All this things prove that villages of India is a soul of India which resisted the foreign  invasions and protected the religious values of India.
