Guyana

                                                Guyana  is South American country near  Venezuela which is very much in news  now on account of kidnapping its president by America on drug dealing charges. Venezuela has also dispute with Guyana regarding off shore drilling of oil from sea. 

                                                  Guyana has  economy with gross domestic product of 28.84 Billion Dollars. It is said that Guyana has fastest growing economy. Guyana has population of 8 Lakhs of which 40% are people with Indian origin. the Indian laborers were brought  here between 1838 t0 1917 to work in Sugar Plantation during British colonial period. The most of the laborer's were from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Zarkhand from India. Therefore Hindustani is one of the spoken language of Guyana.  The Indian culture is still reflected in the Guyana.  Georgetown is the capital of Guyana where one can find British Architecture.

                                              Guyana has also rain forest wherein one can find wild life therein. The present president comes from Indo Guyanese parent who is driving the country in all over development.  The president Irfan Ali has invested lots of funds in Schools,  Roads and Hospitals.  This is all possible because of off shore oil drilling income of 7.6 Billion Dollar.  Irfan Ali is very progressive ruler who want to see that economy of Guyana does not depend on oil in next five years. 

                                            President has become popular in Guyana on account of his development program but he has a difficult diplomatic task to maintain cordial and good relation with Venezuela which is challenging the right of Guyana to drill off shore oil from sea.
